The Acupuncture Pregnancy Clinic is Australia’s leading provider of integrative acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for fertility, IVF, pregnancy and reproductive health.
The Acupuncture Pregnancy Clinic (formerly known as The Acupuncture IVF Support Clinic) was established in 2008.Since opening in 2008, we’ve supported thousands of individuals and couples with personalised, research-aligned care delivered by a team of experienced practitioners.
We offer evidence-based Traditional Chinese Medicine for reproductive health, including natural conception, IVF, women’s health conditions (such as irregular cycles, PCOS and Endometriosis), and pregnancy support from conception to birth and postnatal care.
We offer acupuncture, including laser acupuncture and electro-acupuncture, as well as TCM herbal medicine and diet and lifestyle advice.
We were among the first clinics in the country to offer acupuncture in proximity to IVF clinics and, later, on-site at embryo transfer. Our clinic was founded in direct response to emerging research showing that acupuncture performed around embryo transfer may improve IVF outcomes. This evidence was the catalyst for a broader movement toward integrative reproductive care an approach that combines Chinese Medicine with mainstream medical treatment to support better patient outcomes.
Our Founding and Leadership
The clinic was founded by Jane Lyttleton, a pioneer in the field of integrative Chinese Medicine. With a background in genetics and a deep commitment to evidence-based practice, Jane brought together the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine with the rigour of scientific research. Her internationally acclaimed textbook, Treatment of Infertility with Chinese Medicine, published in 2004, is now in its 13th English reprint and has been translated into several languages. It remains the foundation of the Acupuncture Pregnancy Clinic Practice Manual our practitioners follow today.
Jane’s innovative approach helped establish acupuncture as a respected and collaborative part of fertility care in Australia. Her work continues to shape the clinic’s educational standards, treatment methods, and commitment to integrative care.
Today, The Acupuncture Pregnancy Clinic is led by Managing Director Dr Amy Forth (TCM), a highly respected Chinese Medicine practitioner, educator, and researcher with over 18 years of clinical experience. Amy is known for her evidence-based, patient-centred approach to fertility, IVF and pregnancy care, and for her leadership in integrative reproductive health in Australia. She is the Clinical Director of our Alexandria clinic and oversees a national network of clinics across NSW and Victoria.
Amy has contributed to clinical research into acupuncture for IVF, PCOS and endometriosis, and holds a Master’s in Global Health focused on integrative care in primary medicine. She regularly presents at national conferences, trains our practitioner team, and works closely with IVF clinics, GPs and allied health professionals to ensure our patients receive safe, coordinated and effective care.

Each clinic is staffed by AHPRA-registered, degree-qualified Chinese Medicine practitioners with extensive training in reproductive health. Many have over a decade of experience supporting patients through fertility treatment, pregnancy care and postnatal recovery. Our team works in close collaboration with referring doctors, IVF clinics, and allied health providers to deliver safe, personalised and effective care.
