Catherine Brown
Registration number for CMBA & AHPRA: CMR0001710927
AACMA: 2083

Meet Catherine Brown, a Doctor of Chinese Medicine and Registered Acupuncturist who has been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine since graduating from her Bachelor of Applied Science in TCM in 2004. She has studied in both Sydney and China and has a wealth of experience and qualifications in women’s health and fertility, including menstrual and hormonal health, reproductive health, IVF support, pregnancy, and postnatal care, as well as male fertility. Catherine offers a safe and effective holistic approach to her treatments, which include Acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, Gua Sha, Moxibustion, diet and lifestyle recommendations.

Catherine is patient-focused, empathetic, and supportive in her approach to treatments. In addition to her expertise in reproductive health, women’s health, and pregnancy care, she is also experienced in treating musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, digestion, insomnia, anxiety, and depression. She believes in addressing the “root” cause of disharmonies in the body as well as the symptoms, ensuring the Qi or “life energy” flows through the body’s meridians to achieve a state of harmony and balance.

Catherine tailors her treatments to the individual and the whole person, and strongly believes in patient education and collaboration to achieve the best possible health outcomes. As a registered practitioner, Catherine is a member of the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMBA), the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and The Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA).

When not treating patients, Catherine enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, and has a keen interest in yoga and meditation.  Cath loves living on the peninsula,  where she enjoys the beaches and the community.
