Clare is an AHPRA registered practitioner of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine with a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Chinese Medicine). She also has a PhD from the University of Melbourne and worked for a number of years as a research scientist, studying neurobiology and how the brain develops. It was a combination of her scientific curiosity and her desire to help people with their health that drew her towards her career in Chinese Medicine.

As a co-director of the Melbourne Acupuncture Pregnancy Clinic in Melbourne, Clare works closely with patients planning a family. She has a strong understanding of the IVF process and both the difficulties and sheer joy it can bring. Clare also has extensive experience in treating women throughout their pregnancy, assisting with various issues that might arise.

Clare is dedicated to helping people realise their dream of having a family and enjoys supporting them throughout the process. Following the holistic approach of Chinese medicine, she considers all facets of a patient’s health (current and previous conditions, family history and emotional well-being) to develop an individualised treatment plan.

Lauren Gannon Clinical Director Melbourne

Dr Lauren Gannon (TCM) – Clinical Director & Practitioner
BHSc (Chinese Medicine), BBus

Lauren Gannon is a registered Chinese Medicine practitioner and the Director of Acupuncture Pregnancy Clinic in Melbourne.

Lauren’s areas of interest in gynaecology and fertility started early on before she had completed her studies. She finds working in the fertility realm rewarding and enjoys the challenges of complex cases. Lauren’s primary motivation as a practitioner is helping others achieve their optimum level of health and well being, using holistic approaches that are balanced and sustainable.

Lauren’s love and passion for Chinese medicine began from her own journey to investigate and identify solutions into everyday health issues that individuals face as a result of the lifestyle and environmental conditions we live under. She noticed many health problems can be attributed to a stressful or unbalanced environment.

Lauren is also a registered herbalist and believes a combination of herbal medicine, acupuncture and correct supplementation leads to positive health outcomes. Lauren is known for her kind nature and feels honoured to support people through the often-bumpy journey that fertility issues can entail.

My partner attending this clinic for pregnancy acupuncture pre labour. They were so warm and welcoming at a vulnerable time for both of us. I would highly recommend.

H. Bhagra

I always looked forward to going to see Clare, Bec or Lauren. Their continuum of care between the three of them was always thorough and up to date. The practice is always warm and inviting and a place to feel safe and heard. Lauren, Clare and Bec are all extremely knowledgeable, friendly and immediately make you feel at ease. I can’t speak highly enough of all three of them.

O. Patrick

Clare was absolutely brilliant. Her guidance, support and the acupuncture she administered brought me my beautiful baby boy.

H. Sottile

I sincerely recommend Acupuncture Pregnancy Clinic Melbourne. Clare was recommended to me by my specialist at MIVF at the start of my treatment and she has been the most stable, reliable and warm part of this whole journey. She has provided invaluable support, perspective and humour. The team has also been very accommodating, flexible and communicative along the way.

A. Scarlata

I came to this clinic as part of my IVF journey, and I’m so grateful I did. Clare is an amazing practitioner — caring, knowledgeable, and truly supportive throughout the process. The acupuncture sessions had exactly the effect I needed and made a real difference for me. Highly recommend to anyone going through fertility treatment or looking for holistic support.

S. Longani

I cannot recommend Acupuncture Pregnancy Clinic Melbourne highly enough. Clare is one of the most kind, warm, caring, and nurturing health professionals I’ve been lucky enough to meet. Having someone to speak to whilst trying to conceive, going through IVF, and navigating pregnancy was so invaluable to me. Particularly amidst medical appointments which can sometimes feel so clinical, the nurturance and guidance offered by Clare was so deeply appreciated.

I’m also so grateful to Lauren and Rebecca for stepping in and providing additional support/accommodating changes in appointment times and days when needed. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this team to anyone in need of supportive and holistic care. The entire team go above and beyond and I felt so genuinely cared for and supported.
