An Ni CHIEN is a doctor of Chinese Medicine in her 14th year of practice. Anni has seen hundreds of women and their families across experiencing issues relating to reproductive health, pregnancy and post-natal recovery.
After graduating from RMIT in Melbourne, Anni traveled north and first worked in Canberra for 3 years before settling down in Sydney. Anni grew up in a culture where Chinese medicine was commonly used, and she first encountered acupuncture as a teenager and found it helpful for a sprained ankle. Back then, Anni perceived acupuncture as something used mainly for sporting injuries, however after years of training, and clinical experience she appreciated the broad scope of acupuncture. Anni feels thankful and grateful for the knowledge preserved and passed down from the many Acupuncture and Chinese medicine teachers that have gone before.
Anni loves cooking and she avidly perused creating an herbal garden filled with locally grown Chinese herbal medicinal plants, however, the possums and wild rabbits have also enjoyed the plants and thwarted this plan somewhat. Anni enjoys the challenge that comes with every patient and works with them to help them achieve their goals. Patients usually walk away with ‘homework’ so they are also a part of the healing process in their fertility journey. Also- Anni and husband Eric, operate a Chinese Medicine postnatal service called Confinement Care, which has helped hundreds of women for their post-natal recovery in Australia.
Anni is known for her calm, caring and practical approach and in-depth traditional Chinese dietary advice. She is also the proud Mum of two boys!

Yanthe’s career in Chinese Medicine began with a truly unique foundation. After graduation, she and her family moved to rural Thailand, where she began her practice in a grass-roots clinic. Access to healthcare was limited, giving her exposure to a vast range of conditions from paediatrics to post-stroke care to cancer which solidified her belief in the power of Chinese Medicine to help everyone achieve their maximum capacity for optimal health.
When she returned to Sydney, she felt a natural alignment with the unique challenges of fertility and pregnancy care. As a mother herself, she feels passionate about supporting others through this magical yet often fraught journey, from conception through to birth and postpartum care. This led her to The Acupuncture Pregnancy Clinic, so that she can fully express her dedication to this field.
For Yanthe, true healing integrates the mind and spirit. Her approach to Chinese Medicine is deeply supported by her 14 years training as a Buddhist nun. She often integrates mindfulness training and spiritual counselling into her Acupuncture treatments. This provides patients with a calm, and profoundly supportive holistic health experience. Yanthe is committed to meeting you exactly where you are and providing compassionate, personalised care.
